    Apply for KNEC April 2026 Training: Steps & Requirements

    The official KNEC application link for April 2026 item writing training is https://markingapp.knec.ac.ke. Eligible teachers (TSC-registered, 3+ years experience, recommended by head) must apply by April 13, 2026. Applications are online only, and documents must be uploaded as a continuous PDF.

    Application Steps and Details:

    • Application Portal: Visit https://markingapp.knec.ac.ke to create an account or log in.
    • Deadline: All applications must be submitted by April 13, 2026.
    • Requirements:techdrivers.co.ke
      • 3+ years of teaching experience.
      • Recommendation from the head of institution.
      • Registered with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).
      • Currently teaching relevant subjects/levels (Grade 4-8, Stage Based Pathway).
    • Warning: Teachers who have previously been trained by KNEC in item writing should not apply.
    • Process: Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted via email/phone.
    • Official Advertisement: See the April 2026 Item Writing Advert on the KNEC website. 

    Note: There are other portals mentioned for different purposes, such as https://cbalms.knec.ac.ke for learning management and https://examinersapp.knec.ac.ke for different examiner training. Ensure you use the specific “markingapp” link for the current item writing training.
