In three hours, Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy S26 Ultra as well as the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+. We’re also expecting to hear about new Galaxy AI features at the launch event, where Samsung might also launch its new Galaxy Buds 4 series. You can stay tuned to our live blog, and keep an eye out for our coverage on techdrivers.co.ke, as well as our X and Instagram pages for more information.

Will the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra Get a Selfie Camera Upgrade?

The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is the company’s upcoming flagship smartphone, and it’s expected to debut with Qualcomm’s most powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip. The handset could also come with an upgraded 12-megapixel selfie camera, according to a recent leak. It wouldn’t be the only major brand to introduce a selfie upgrade. Apple launched the iPhone 17 lineup last September with a new 18-megapixel front facing camera.

A Quick Peek at the Samsung Galaxy Buds 4

If you missed it earlier this month, Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Buds 4 was spotted online. Even though these look like dummy units, they closely match previous reports that describe the design of the truly wireless stereo (TWS) headset, which is expected to make its debut alongside the Samsung Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+ and the Galaxy S26 Ultra.

What You Shouldn’t Expect From the Galaxy S26 Ultra

Leaked marketing images for the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra suggest that the upcoming flagship smartphone from the company will not arrive with a battery upgrade. You shouldn’t expect major hardware upgrades in the camera department, either. If you’re keen to find out what Samsung’s purported marketing materials say about its upcoming devices, you can check our coverage of the leak which surfaced online earlier this week.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Series Will Feature Perplexity AI

Galaxy AI has been a staple feature on recent Samsung Galaxy smartphones, but the company will soon let users access a third-party AI assistant on their smartphone. Starting with the Galaxy S26 series, users can say “Hey Plex” to launch the Perplexity assistant, or use the side key on the smartphone. It will work across the company’s built-in apps, as well as select third-party apps, although Samsung hasn’t mentioned which ones will be supported at launch.

Will Samsung Hike the Prices of the Galaxy S26 Series?

The global memory crisis isn’t going away in the near future, and component prices have skyrocketed over the past few months. Many smartphone makers have already raised the prices of their handsets in the country. According to a recent report, Samsung might also launch the Galaxy S26 series at a higher price than its predecessors, primarily due to rising costs.

New Hotword for Perplexity Assistant on Galaxy S26

The upcoming Galaxy S26 series of smartphones will offer support for Perplexity AI, in addition to Galaxy AI. Samsung says users will be able to invoke the AI assistant using the ‘Hey Plex’ hotword, or by pressing the side button. It will also work across the company’s built-in apps as well as some third-party app

Storage Upgrade on Pre-Reserving the Galaxy S26 Series

Samsung usually offers a free storage upgrade to customers who pre-reserve its latest smartphones, and the Samsung Galaxy S26 series is no exception. As part of the pre-reservation benefits, customers can get a higher storage variant, at no additional cost. We’ve explained how the pre-reservation works and the benefits offered by the company, in case you’re planning to upgrade to the Galaxy S26 series.

With only a few hours left until Samsung unveils the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra tonight, we already know a great deal about these three smartphones. Earlier this month, we compiled all the biggest leaks related to the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S26 series models and their specifications. From the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC on the Galaxy S26 Ultra to Samsung’s first phones with its 2nm Exynos chip, here’s what you need to know about these handsets.

We saw several leaks related to the Samsung Galaxy Buds 4 over the past few weeks, but we didn’t expect to see live images of the truly wireless stereo (TWS) headset surface online. We’re expecting the Galaxy Buds 4 to arrive in at least two colourways, and they could feature a flat metallic stem. A recent report also hinted at the presence of head controls and other advanced features.

Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2026 is nearly here, and the South Korean company is expected to unveil new smartphones and truly wireless stereo (TWS) headsets with Galaxy AI features in a few hours. This year’s flagship Samsung Galaxy S26 series is expected to comprise three models, while the brand might also unveil the Galaxy Buds 4 and Galaxy Buds 4 Pro at its first in-person launch event of the year, which will be streamed live via the company’s platforms and social media channels.

Thanks to recent reports, we already know that Samsung’s next-generation Galaxy S series will be launched at the event, the Samsung Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra. Samsung is also expected to announce new Galaxy AI features for the latest smartphone models, alongside support for Perplexity AI integration across built-in and third-party applications with support for a new “Hey Plex” hot word.

We’ll post all of the latest updates before and during the event, which begins at 11:30pm tonight, on this live blog.
